Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam has today unveiled the national pride of Australia to the Tanzanian community at the hotel’s luxury rooftop.

Across the nation and around the world on Australia day, citizens reflect on what it means to be Australian and recall the birth of a new nation, marked in history with the arrival of the first British ships and the raising of the flag of Great Britain at Sydney Cove.

“We are pleased to fly the national flag in the most prominent place in the city, which offers the best music entertainment, food and drinks for local Tanzanians and the Australian community to enjoy together,” said Mr. Garry Friend, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam, The Kilimanjaro.

“We are here to create a truly memorable experience, and we plan to hold different events every year to help make a difference in society. Today we will raise some money and offer tickets to Zanzibar as a prize, as a means of helping orphanage centers in Zanzibar.” He added
